P2P · How it works
Trade local fiat for USD — with escrow on every order.
Splitvy P2P connects buyers who want USD balance with approved sellers who accept local payment methods. The platform escrows the USD until the trade is complete.
For buyers
How to buy USD
- 01
Pick an offer
Browse approved sellers by currency and payment method. Filter by price, completion rate, or recency.
- 02
Open an order
Enter the amount you want to buy. Splitvy locks the seller's USD in escrow and gives you 15 minutes to pay in your local fiat.
- 03
Pay the seller off-platform
Use the seller's payment account (bKash, GCash, bank transfer, etc.) shown on the order page. Save the transaction reference.
- 04
Mark as paid
Tap "I've paid" so the seller knows to verify. You can chat with them and share proof if needed.
- 05
Receive USD
Once the seller confirms receipt, the escrowed USD lands in your wallet. The deal is done.
For sellers
How to sell USD
- 01
Apply as a P2P seller
Choose a display name, country, and the payment methods you can receive. Admins review every application.
- 02
Add payment accounts
For every method you'll accept, save your account details (bKash number, bank account, etc.). Buyers see them only after opening an order.
- 03
Post an offer
Set your price (fiat per USD), the limits buyers can buy, and the payment window. Your USD is locked the moment a buyer opens an order.
- 04
Verify payment
When a buyer marks an order as paid, check your real account. Don't release before you've verified the funds arrived.
- 05
Release the USD
Tap "Release" to send the escrowed USD to the buyer. Your average release time becomes part of your reputation.
Safety & trust
Why P2P on Splitvy is safe
Splitvy is the escrow agent on every trade. We never touch the buyer's fiat — but we do lock the seller's USD until the deal completes.
Escrow on every order
Splitvy locks the seller's USD the moment an order opens. Sellers cannot release until the deal closes — and buyers cannot lose the USD without an explicit release or admin resolution.
Verified sellers only
Every seller passes an admin review before posting offers. Sellers with low completion rates lose visibility and may be suspended.
Disputes go to admin
If a buyer claims they paid and the seller disagrees, open a dispute from the order page. An admin reviews chat, attachments, and decides whether to release or refund.
Zero P2P fee
Splitvy currently charges no fee on P2P trades. Sellers set their price; buyers pay exactly that.
Order lifecycle
What happens after you click Buy
Every P2P order flows through these five states. You'll see the current state as a colored badge on the order page.
Order opened. Seller's USD is locked. Buyer pays in fiat off-platform.
Buyer marked it as paid. Seller verifies on their bank/wallet.
Seller released the USD. Deal closed, funds in buyer's wallet.
Order cancelled before payment. Seller's USD returns to available.
Either party flagged the order. Admin reviews and resolves.
Frequently asked
Quick answers
What's the payment window?
Sellers choose a window between 5 and 120 minutes — usually 15. If the buyer hasn't marked the order as paid by then, it auto-cancels and the seller's USD returns to their available balance.
What if the seller doesn't release my USD?
Open a dispute from the order page once you've marked it as paid. Attach proof of your fiat payment (screenshot/PDF). An admin reviews the chat and your evidence and decides.
Can I cancel an order I just opened?
Yes — as long as you haven't marked it as paid yet. Once you mark it as paid, you can only open a dispute, not cancel.
Are there any fees?
Splitvy currently charges 0% on P2P trades. Sellers set their own price; you pay exactly what's on the offer.
How do I become a seller?
Apply on the seller page. Admins review and approve. Once approved, save your payment accounts and post your first offer.
Is my payment account visible to everyone?
No. Your payment account details are only revealed to a buyer once they've opened an order with you. They're never on the marketplace listing.
